My Birthday!

First, it's my birthday! So, to celebrate with me, I ask you to take a moment and really appreciate someone or something in your life.

As the great GenX philosopher Ferris Bueller once said,

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

So much change

My goodness what a rollercoaster the last couple of months in AI have been. First, we had copilots. Now, all of the talk is shifting to AI agents. We've been experimenting with what comes after agents: agencies. Agencies are self-organizing and collaborating groups of AI agents. It's mind-blowing stuff.

We were also in attendance at the Microsoft Fabric Conference in Las Vegas. The main takeaways are.

  • Fabric is much easier way to support your data estate. OneLake eliminates a lot of integration work for data.
  • If you plan to push data into AI at scale, Fabric OneLake is the best way to support the need.

What's coming

We are teaching an AI fundamentals class starting on April 15. We'll review the 5 core types of AI in today's business world. Houston, we are fixing a problem

Our recent projects have highlighted that today's copilots don't handle structured data well. Most organizations have made large investments in Business Intelligence over the last few years. It seems problematic that copilots can't consume this data cleanly.

We are building a product to fix this. We've pioneered a way to add Power BI KPIs and Measures to Microsoft 365 Copilot as the values change, so that you have all of your information accurately, within one Copilot.
